The Jack-up rig PV DRILLING VI officially put into operation in February 2015 is the latest generation of its kind owned
by PV Drilling Corporation.
As of midnight on 28th February, 2020, PV DRILLING VI reached the milestone of 5 consecutive years of safe operation
without any Lost Time Incident (LTI-free), recognized by the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC).
This achievement is the Corporation’s notable one in safety in the first two months of 2020 and it is gained thanks to
the stringent control of the compliance to the HSEQ management system’s requirements set out by PV Drilling and clients.
For the past 05 years, PV DRILLING VI has established and maintained high operating efficiency and created a solid
reputation in drilling market in Vietnam and South East Asia with more than 1,492,000 safe working hours, recorded more
than 38,000 observation cards and delivered numerous drilling campaigns for domestic and foreign customers such as PVEP
POC, Hoang Long JOC, Premier Oil, Rosneft, VSP, ENI... The rig is currently drilling for Sapura OMV in Malaysia waters
where its sister rigs of PV DRILLING I, II and III are operating. Expectedly, PV DRILLING VI will return to Vietnam in
the second quarter this year to provide drilling service to Rosneft until the end of 2020 after accomplishing the work
for Sapura OMV.
